• Informationsblatt "Lebensmittelmotten"

  Unter dem Motto "Mehr Fantasie statt Chemie" bietet PAN leicht verständliche Tipps und individuelle Beratung zu umwelt- und gesundheitsgerechten Maßnahmen gegen Schädlinge und Lästlinge im Haus an. Eine Reihe verständlicher Informationsblätter zum Bestellen und zum kostenfreien Download über verschiedene Schädlinge ergänzen dieses Angebot. Das erste Informationsblatt dieser Reihe widmet sich den Lebensmittelmotten, wie sie zu erkennen sind und wie man ohne chemische Keule einen Befall verhindern und eindämmen kann.

• For the Consideration of Biodiversity in Plant Protection Legislation

  Pesticides allow the type of agriculture that contributes to the loss of biological diversity. Special attention must therefore be paid to coherency between biodiversity protection and pesticide legislation. The PAN Germany brochure tackles this area of conflict and calls for the implementation of concrete targets for and measures on the use of pesticides in order to improve biodiversity protection within conventional agriculture in Europe.

• How to Grow Crops without Paraquat

  PAN Germany hat bereits acht Ausgaben einer Reihe von englischsprachigen quot;Field Guides" über nicht-chemischen Pflanzenschutz in den Tropen veröffentlicht. Der neunte Field Guide "How to Grow Crops without Paraquat" befasst sich erneut mit Alternativen zu einem bestimmten Pestizid - dem Herbizid Paraquat. Paraquat ist weltweit eines der gefährlichsten Agrar-Pestizide. Dieser Field Guide bietet leicht verständlich und wissenschaftlich basierte Informationen darüber, wie Kulturpflanzen ohne den Einsatz von Paraquat oder anderer chemischer Pestizide angebaut werden können.

• PAN Germany fordert die deutsche Regierung auf, sich für eine bessere Berücksichtigung von Gesundheit, Umwelt und Artenvielfalt in der EU-Pestizidgesetzgebung einzusetzen

  Derzeit werden die Weichen der zukünftigen Pestizidpolitik in der Europäischen Union gestellt. Derzeit suchen der Europarat, das Europäische Parlament und die EU Kommission nach Kompromissen für zwei neue bzw. überarbeitete Pestizidgesetze. Diese Pestizidgesetze schaffen den harmonisierten Rahmen für die Zulassung, die Vermarktung und die Anwendung von Pestiziden in der Europäischen Union. In diesen laufenden Verhandlungen hat Deutschland ein erhebliches Gewicht. PAN fordert die bundesdeutschen Regierungsvertreter sowie die deutschen EU-Abgeordneten auf, sich für einen besseren Schutz der Umwelt, Gesundheit und Artenvielfalt in der EU-Pestizidgesetzgebung einzusetzen und die nachfolgenden Positionen zu unterstützen.

  from the Point of View of German Environmental, Consumer and Animal Welfare Organisations
  

  Positionpaper

  The undersigning non-governmental organisations (NGOs) call upon the ministries, authorities, members of parliament and economic organisations involved in the further development of the Council Directive 98/8/EC concerning the placing of biocidal products on the market to commit themselves to prioritised, preventative health and environmental protection. The NGOs call for compliance with the legal framework on biodiversity and animal welfare, for more transparency, and for an EU-wide binding strategy for a step-by-step termination or, as the case may be, reduction of the use of hazardous biocides and biocidal products.

  PAN Germany hat bereits sechs Ausgaben einer Reihe von englischsprachigen "Field Guides" über nicht-chemischen Pflanzenschutz in den Tropen veröffentlicht. Der siebte Field Guide "How to Grow Crops without Endosulfan" unterscheidet sich von den bisher veröffentlichten, da er sich mit der Vermeidung des Insektizides Endosulfan beim Anbau von Kulturpflanzen befasst. Endosulfan ist weltweit eines der gefährlichsten Agrar-Pestizide. Dieser Field Guide bietet Informationen wie man viele Kulturpflanzen, die bisher unter dem Einsatz von Endosulfan angebaut wurden, ohne den Einsatz von Endosulfan oder anderer chemischer Pestizide anbauen kann. Grundlage dieser Publikationen ist OISAT, ein Online-Informations-Service für das nicht-chemische Management von Schadorganismen in den Tropen (http://www.oisat.org).
